PHOTOGRAPHY

Photography has always been another way for me to document encounters, places and moments connected to cinema, culture and the people who create it.

My photographic archive began to develop through my work as a journalist and my travels, initially in a semi-professional context before becoming a professional activity in the early 2010s.

Over the years, I have photographed film festivals, premieres, screenings, masterclasses, press events and meetings with filmmakers and artists, capturing not only official moments but also the atmosphere, personalities and behind-the-scenes experiences surrounding these events.

A significant part of my work has been dedicated to portrait photography, documenting directors, actors, producers, musicians and other creative figures encountered throughout my professional activities and personal journeys.

Many of these images were created during my travels, particularly in Hong Kong and other Asian countries, where my long-standing interest in cinema led me to meet and photograph generations of filmmakers and performers. These photographs form a visual record of encounters that often took place at important moments in the careers of the people I documented.

Alongside cinema, my photographic work also extends to music and popular culture, including concerts, artists, performances and documentary projects exploring creative communities beyond film.

After more than two decades, this archive has grown into a large collection of portraits, reportage images and visual documents covering different periods, countries and cultural experiences.

However, photography for me is not simply about collecting images or creating a visual catalogue. Every photograph has a story: the circumstances in which it was taken, the person represented, the place, the moment and the connection behind the image.

Through this website and my other platforms, I aim to present selected photographs together with their historical and personal context, transforming individual images into broader stories about cinema, music, travel and cultural encounters.

Whether through a portrait, a festival image or a documentary photograph, my goal is always the same: to preserve memories and share the stories behind the people and moments captured by the camera.
