MEDIA
Journalism has been the foundation of my work in cinema for more than twenty-five years, and continues to shape the way I document, analyse and share film culture today.
I began my career as a film journalist in the early 2000s, first writing for online publications before contributing to printed magazines dedicated to cinema, genre films and popular culture.
Over the years, my work has appeared in publications including DVD Vision, Mad Movies, Impact, Mad Asia, Coyote Magazine and Cinemateaser, among others. Through journalism, I had the opportunity to interview filmmakers, actors, producers and artists from around the world, while developing a deeper understanding of film history and the people behind it.
Although today my writing activity is more occasional, journalism remains an essential part of my approach. It was through writing, researching and interviewing that I developed the desire to create my own platforms and find new ways of sharing the material accumulated over decades.
This led to the creation of CineFlamme, a French-language platform dedicated to cinema, and CineMagma, its English-language counterpart, both designed to combine current film culture, historical perspectives, archival material and original editorial content.
These platforms allow me not only to discuss contemporary releases, filmmakers and events, but also to finally bring back to life a vast amount of previously unpublished material: interviews recorded over many years, photographs, videos, archival documents and personal research accumulated throughout my career.
Beyond my own publications, this section also documents my activities as a guest speaker, interviewee and media contributor. Over the years, I have been invited to participate in documentaries, podcasts, video programs, discussions and cultural events, sharing my expertise on Asian cinema, film history and related subjects.
This page also gathers information about masterclasses, public talks, festival appearances, media interviews and other contributions, highlighting another aspect of my work: not only documenting cinema, but also transmitting knowledge and sharing experiences with different audiences.
Through Media, I aim to bring together my past as a journalist, my present as an independent creator and my future projects as a publisher of original film-related content.
